350th Champlain Anniversary Celebration Photo Collection 1

During 1959 the Adirondacks and the Lakes Champlain and George region commemorated the 350th Anniversary of Samuel de Champlain’s 1609 journey of discovery upon the waters which later was to bear his name.   Many municipalities, attractions, businesses and organizations assisted in promoting the Champlain Anniversary by developing their own site specific advertising, events and programs.

From the Ticonderoga Historical Society’s collection of material from this celebratory anniversary event we share several photographs from the 1959  year long celebration.
